Port of Cascade Locks Business Park

If you’re looking for that special place to locate your business, you need to put Cascade Locks on your list of potential sites. It is open for business with acres of industrial, commercial, and residential land available, a relaxed lifestyle, awe-inspiring beauty, year-round recreation, ample power, water and sewer services, and easy access to Portland and its International Airport. All this, and it’s affordable.

The Port of Cascade Locks is the logical starting point for exploring the business sites that are available in the area. The Port’s Business Park offers business-ready, vacant land zoned for Heavy Industrial, Light Industrial, and Resort-Commercial development. Located less than two miles east of downtown Cascade Locks, its location offers the advantage of easy access to Interstate-84 which means PDX is just 45 minutes away. Fiber optic service is available. Locate here and at the end of the day, you can walk to windsurfing, disc golfing, mountain biking, fishing, swimming, and wildlife viewing (spawning salmon, ospreys, eagles, otters, beavers, etc.).

In order to accommodate several new businesses, the Port has recently erected three flex-style buildings totaling 30,000 square feet. Additional businesses are negotiating with the Port for land purchases. To make your move to Cascade Locks easy, the Port has the ability to sell land or build-to-suit and offers flexible lease terms. To get started contact Don Mann, Port Economic Development Manager at 541-374-2406, or cell: 541-270-3126.

If the Port’s Business Park isn’t the right spot for your business, other sites are available. There are several parcels (either vacant land or with buildings) within the main business district, some with stunning views of the Columbia River and the rugged mountains in Washington. Once again, the best contact is the Port’s Don Mann, as he keeps in contact with most of the owners of any available parcels.

ENTERPRISE ZONE

Cascade Locks is also within the Hood River County Enterprise zone. The enterprise zone exempts certain businesses from local property taxes on new investments. The enterprise zone is managed by the Mid-Columbia Economic Development District (MCEDD). Contact MCEDD prior to relocating or expanding to determine if you may qualify.
