Port of Cascade Locks Business Park
The Port of Cascade Locks owns several miles of undeveloped waterfront property along the edges of its business park. Access is limited, and at the present time only a handful of fishermen, local residents, and some kayakers and boaters venture into this secluded world.
However, the Port Commission recently voted to explore development possibilities for this amazing area. There are many possible uses including: public beaches, a small boat marina, open and natural spaces, sailing center, picnic areas, a natural amphitheater, campsites, restrooms, a boat launch, a kiteboarding launch area, and others. As the process proceeds the Port will be looking for citizen involvement.
This waterfront has the potential to be a multi-faceted recreation area, an economic engine for the Port, and a natural haven for the residents of Cascade Locks.
