Gentle Yoga - ONLINE EVENT

We will use gentle movement, breath and guided relaxation to relieve tension and stress. Class will include poses on the floor, seated, and standing and adaptations will be given to make class as accessible as possible.

Program Description

Join Sarah Nelsen for a yoga class focused on gentle strength and stretching as well as calming the nervous system.

To join this online program, you will need a computer, tablet or phone with a camera and microphone. The link to join the event will be emailed to registrants. A phone number will be included to allow you to use a phone as speaker/microphone, if necessary.

Reclined poses could be done on the floor or a bed; seated poses could be done on the floor or in a chair; standing poses could use the wall or a chair for support.

Props you may want to have on hand include a blanket, a pillow, a strap, & a chair.

Sarah is a certified yoga therapist and yoga teacher. She is passionate about using the tools of yoga to help alleviate anxiety, depression, insomnia and persistent pain while creating conditions for deep rest. Her classes are gentle and therapeutic with an emphasis on using the breath to help calm the nervous system and movement to gently release physical tension. Her classes are great for those who are new to yoga, are injured, or are craving a quiet, reflective practice. More information can be found at sarahnelsenyoga.com.

Sarah cannot diagnose or treat medical conditions. Yoga therapy works in conjunction with your current treatment for medical conditions.
